General Information
MAXI-Skimmers™ are a modern design utilizing all stainless steel metal parts (motor excepted) and various polymers for other parts. The result is an affordable and dependable products that is lightweight and corrosion -proof. Polyurethane or stainless steel belts can reach from 1 - 100 feet down. All include a handle for lifting/portability and outlet extension hose. Shipping costs are less as they are lighter in weight than most competitive skimmers.
SSP/2 Series - 2,5, 5.5 or 10 gph
SSP/2 Series MAXI-Skimmers™ collect 2.5, 5.5 or 10 gph and are the most popular of the series due to the low cost and collection rate. Standard units are "off-the-shelf" in 115 or 220 vac. All are fitted with a handle for lifting/portability and a 3 ft. outlet hose extension. Custom units can be built with DC motors, "steep side" discharge for sticky, viscous oils, heaters, etc.
SSP/3 Series - 9 to 100 gph
The SSP/3 Series MAXI-Skimmers™ utilize a choice of fixed speed gearmotors and 1 - 4" wide belts, depending on the collection rate desired. Belts can reach as far down as 100 ft. Motor selection includes 115 & 220 vac, DC explosion-proof & air motors. All are quickly custom-built for the application.
SSV/5 Series
The SSV/5 MAXI-Skimmer’Ñ¢ is, to the best of our knowledge, the world's only adjustable rate belt skimmer! They can be fitted with one (1 - 20 ghp) or two belts (1 - 40 gph). This is a good choice where the oil removal rate is not known, can change or the removal rate may want to be changed at any time. 115/1/60 power only. Despite the advantages, the unit cost is competitive and, being light-weight, costs less to ship!
All SSP Series are Corrosion-Proof!
All metal parts (motors exepted) are stainless steel. UHMW bearing-grade polymer is used for frame ends and the scraper blade. Standard outlet is on motor end to which a hose is attached to aid in collection. "Steep Trough" designs for stick or high viscous oils are available. A handle is provided on the hinged top lid and an oil outlet extension hose is provided.
Optional Accessories
A stand elevates the MAXI-Skimmer™ for collection into 55 a gallon drum. Oil/Water Separators to provide 100% oil collection. Timers & Ground Fault Interrupters (110v only).
