Filtered Blowers for DC Motors
DC Drive motors operate much more efficiently when cool. Operational costs are also reduced.
Standard Electra-Kool™ Blowers for ventilating DC motors use 1 or 3 phase drive motors. Other AC voltages, DC powered, 50 hertz, explosion-proof and/or non standard motors are available on a custom basis.
The smallest blower (150 cfm) is powder-coated steel. All others are rugged cast aluminum. All have a flange on the outlet for mounting on the DC motor plate.
Filters are made of galvanized steel mesh and are mounted with one wingnut - making changout easy!
Blowers are also available without filters, with wall/floor mounting brackets for remote mounting, with flanges on the inlet (for exhausting and other customer required modifications).
Sizing a Blower for a DC Motor
Utilize the graph below. Example A 100 hp, 2 pole motor requires 10 CFM per hp. Thus a Model 1000 (1200 cfm) would be the choice.
